I left the dance around 11:30 (it ends at 1:00) so that I could get some sleep. I knew I had class in the morning and work so I thought "I'll be responsible and go home now so I won't be dead in the morning"
On my way home, something happened to me that is probably the scariest thing I've ever experienced in my life.
I was stopped at a red light, waiting for the green arrow. I was singing along softly with the music when all of a sudden I felt the impact of a car smashing into the back of my car, going so fast that I was propelled several feet forward into the intersection.
Looking back on the impact is sort of surreal. As surreal as it was to me as it was happening. At first I didn't realize what was happening. I felt the initial impact and then everything started to shake and vibrate around me. I closed my eyes and felt my car being pushed forward. Felt my head snap forward and crash back. I screamed at the top of my lungs with my eyes shut tight. I really can honestly say I've never been so scared.
I didn't know what to do after my car stopped moving. I just sat there shaking violently. I looked out my window and saw two guys asking if I was alright.
"oh my gosh, don't get out of the car." one of them said. I realized why he was overreacting after I got out of the car and looked down at my dress and body that were covered in fake blood. Throughout the night I had to continually explain that I had just come from a Halloween party and was not injured. This was probably the only funny part of the entire night.
My car ended up not being too bad. I've gotten a minor hit by someone before (who drove away) and my car was completely fine then. Ursula is a tough bitch. But the back bumper is falling off and the back license plate is gone and the muffler is down and dragging. And because of this I was pulled over on my way home after the accident :/
So I guess last night I got a trick instead of a treat.
